Several bank programs transfer to Aeroplan

Aeroplan is a transfer partner of more than one major bank. As a result, people with different kinds of flexible bank points may all be able to book through the same airline program.

In the transfer grid PointsGPT uses, four card programs reach Aeroplan, all at 1:1:

• Amex Membership Rewards
• Bilt Points
• Capital One miles
• Chase Ultimate Rewards

At 1:1, each card point becomes one Aeroplan point. Citi ThankYou Points do not reach Aeroplan in that grid. If you hold more than one of these currencies, you can combine them in one Aeroplan account by transferring from each.

Aeroplan can book partner-operated flights

Aeroplan can issue award fares on partner airlines as well as Air Canada flights. This distinction matters because the airline program that sells an award fare can differ from the operating airline that flies the plane.

For example, a flight priced unattractively through one airline program may be offered through another program at a different points price. The operating airline and itinerary can remain the same while the program handling the booking changes.

What Aeroplan priced in recorded finds

In recorded finds from September to November 2026, Aeroplan priced the cheapest award fare on 690 of 5,563 finds from US departures to the 80 most searched destinations. Each find is the cheapest fare one PointsGPT search returned in the cabin asked for, one traveler, one way. These figures are as of 3 November 2026.

Business to Europe most often cost 75,000. To Rome, 47 of 64 business finds were 75,000 points. Paris (35 of 59), Frankfurt (36 of 66), Zurich (25 of 54), London (17 of 39), Lisbon (19 of 32), Amsterdam (19 of 31), and Madrid (17 of 30) were also most often 75,000. The next most common price to Frankfurt (18 finds), Zurich (13), and London (10) was 60,000.

Business to Asia varied far more. To Tokyo, the most common price was 102,500 points (9 of 35 finds), but the middle value was 234,493. To Seoul, the middle value of 14 finds was 249,040. Search several dates before you settle on one.

Economy to Europe was most often 40,000 points, to Paris (5 of 6 finds) and Amsterdam (4 of 6), but these samples are small.

The cash part on Aeroplan fares

Of those 544 Aeroplan business finds, 346 carried a two-figure cash part and 170 a three-figure one. None carried four figures, and 28 were priced in another currency. Some other programs often add four-figure surcharges on routes to Europe. In economy, 78 of 103 finds carried two figures. The surcharge trap compares programs side by side.

Confirm the fare before transferring

Transfers remain one-way. Once points leave your bank and become Aeroplan points, you generally cannot move them back to the bank program. Confirm that the award fare is available through Aeroplan before starting a transfer.
