Business class award fares to Singapore from New York started at 105,000 points one way in PointsGPT's recorded finds, and 6 of the 14 New York business finds were at that price. From Los Angeles, the cheapest business finds were 116,000 points, and half of the 27 Los Angeles business finds were at or below 193,000. In economy, half of the 14 finds were at or below 36,000 points. These finds were from US departure cities, recorded September to November 2026, for one traveler, one way, as of 3 November 2026. They were available when someone searched and may not be by the time you do. Award availability changes frequently.
What the recorded finds show
A recorded find is the cheapest award fare a PointsGPT search returned in the cabin and on the dates the person asked for. The figures below are airline miles, one way, for one traveler, to Singapore Changi (SIN). When your card points transfer at 1:1, the miles and the card points are the same number.
From New York (JFK, Newark and LaGuardia):
- Business (14 finds, from 14 people): six were 105,000 points, all through Emirates Skywards with a connection. Six more were 174,000, and half were at or below 144,500. None was nonstop.
- Economy (3 finds): two were 33,000 points, both through Virgin Atlantic with a connection.
From Los Angeles (LAX and the nearby airports):
- Business (27 finds, from 25 people): eight were 116,000 points, all through Emirates Skywards. Eight more were 193,000, and half were at or below 193,000. None was nonstop.
- Economy (2 finds): one at 36,000 points through Virgin Atlantic and one at 55,000 through United MileagePlus.
From other cities:
- Chicago: both business finds were 105,000 points through Emirates Skywards. Two of the three economy finds were 37,500, one through Emirates Skywards and one through American Airlines AAdvantage.
- San Francisco: two of the seven business finds were 116,000 points. One of the seven was the only nonstop business find we recorded.
- Seattle: two of the seven business finds were 116,000 points. In Miami, two of the three were 174,000.
From every US departure city we recorded:
- Business (72 finds): a quarter were at or below 116,000 points, half at or below 193,000 and three quarters at or below 213,500. The most common price was 193,000 (15 of 72), then 116,000 (14), with 174,000 and 105,000 at 8 each.
- Economy (14 finds): a quarter were at or below 33,000 points, half at or below 36,000 and three quarters at or below 37,500. 33,000, 36,000 and 37,500 each came up three times.
- Premium economy (6 finds): a quarter were at or below 65,000 points, half at or below 105,750 and three quarters at or below 143,900.
None of the 14 economy finds and 1 of the 72 business finds were nonstop. The economy and premium economy figures, and every city figure except Los Angeles and New York business, rest on fewer than 10 finds, so read them as a range.

Which programs priced these fares
Of the 95 Singapore finds, Flying Blue was on the board for 66, United MileagePlus for 58, Emirates Skywards for 56 and Air Canada Aeroplan for 42. Emirates Skywards priced the find itself most often (46 of 95), ahead of Flying Blue (14), United (12) and Virgin Atlantic (6).
These are the card points that reach each program, from the transfer grid PointsGPT uses:
- Emirates Skywards: Amex Membership Rewards at 5:4, Bilt Points at 1:1, Capital One miles at 4:3 and Citi ThankYou Points at 5:4. At 5:4 or 4:3, you move more card points than the miles the fare shows.
- Flying Blue: Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt Points, Capital One miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards and Citi ThankYou Points, all at 1:1.
- United MileagePlus: Bilt and Chase at 1:1.
- Virgin Atlantic: Amex, Bilt, Chase and Citi at 1:1.
- Aeroplan: Amex, Bilt, Capital One and Chase at 1:1.
- Etihad Guest: Bilt, Capital One and Citi at 1:1.
- AAdvantage: Citi at 1:1.
You can check each of the programs PointsGPT searches before you pick one. Partner lists and ratios change, so check your card's current partner list before you transfer. A transfer cannot be undone.
Watch the cash part on Singapore fares
Every award fare carries taxes and fees paid in cash, and some programs add carrier surcharges. Here the cash part followed the program.
- Business: all 45 Emirates Skywards finds carried four-figure cash charges. All 11 Flying Blue finds were three-figure, all 8 United finds single-figure and all 3 Aeroplan finds two-figure. For one Turkish Airlines find and one Qatar Airways find, we do not know the cash part.
- Economy: all 6 Virgin Atlantic finds and all 3 Etihad Guest finds carried three-figure cash charges. The 2 AAdvantage finds were two-figure and the 2 United finds single-figure.
So the cheapest Emirates business fares came with a four-figure cash part, and a fare with more points can cost less in total. Add both before you choose, and see the surcharge trap for why programs charge so differently.
Plan your search
- Flexible dates: search a whole month. The cheapest business prices repeated often.
- Two or more travelers: search for everyone at once. One award fare does not mean the price is open for your whole party.
- Nonstop or one stop: nearly every find connected, so compare travel time too.
- Elsewhere in Southeast Asia: our guide to points needed for Ho Chi Minh City covers the recorded fares there.
Points or cash?
Before you transfer, compare the points plus the cash part with the cash fare. When the cash fare is low, paying cash can save your points for a trip where they cover more. Our guide to points versus cash covers the questions to ask.
How to search it in PointsGPT
When you start a search, type the trip the way you would say it, for example:
Business class from Los Angeles to Singapore, any week in March, I have Amex and Bilt points
- Tell PointsGPT which card points you hold, so it can mark the fares those points reach.
- Compare the points and the cash part on each fare, nonstop and connecting.
- Confirm the fare with the airline program before you transfer, because the transfer cannot be reversed.
